Trip: Crossing the border- Canada

Just a short drive from Grandmommy and Granddaddy's house you can cross the border into Canada. We went to see the falls, but the gates were closed so they weren't very large. Mikie still liked seeing all the rocks and water and Zachary was asleep in the car. Mikie poses at the falls before we head to a Canadian farm for a fun (but muddy) time.
We let Mikie choose who got to be in which animal.
Granddaddy goat, Mommy sheep, Daddy horse, Zachary cow, and Mikie pig (pink of course)

This was the muddy part....the corn maze. It was so squishy and gooey that I'm surprised no one fell on their behinds. Our shoes were caked with mud when we finally found our way to the end.

What would a farm be without goats? And of course, they were both boys' favorite part of the day. Two cups of feed didn't last long, so Granddaddy had to go back and buy more. Mikie really thought feeding the goats with the pulley system was hilarious. Zachary just wanted to pet the "Maas".

Mikie laughing and giggling at the silly goats.

"Maa...Maa...Maaa"

Zachary feeds the goats in the video below and in the background Mikie is feeding the ones on the top of the bridge with a bucket and pulley:

On this farm, they also had a hay maze, a straw fort, and large wooden spool races. We were the only ones there until right before we left, so it was a great family fun time.

  1. Loved the pic of Zachary and the maa maa maa goat. Perfect for his farm wall. The pulley system was great for older kids. Of course Mikie picked the PINK pig. He looks like a little model posed at the falls.
