The boys watched as Michael pulled out the pumpkin guts. And of course Mikie wouldn't try it at first, but we managed to get Zachary to put his hands briefly. In the video you can see how Mikie has a great influence over his little brother:
He responded the same way Mikie did: "YUCK!"
So we gave them spoons.
Our tradition is to read The Pumpkin Patch Parable while carving our jack-o-lanterns.

Zachary likes his!My mom (aka Super Boagie) came to the rescue again when Mikie said he wanted to be a Brontosaurus for Halloween and Zachary wanted to be Monster Mutt Dalmatian. She did an amazing job creating their costumes without having a pattern or the boys close by to try anything on.

Instead of trick or treating, we went to the Family Fall Festival at the mall sponsored by our church. The boys had a blast playing each game and winning candy.
