Halloween

So, when I said I'd be a little busy and probably not get Halloween pictures posted until Thanksgiving, I guess I was off a bit since it is now DECEMBER!

The boys watched as Michael pulled out the pumpkin guts. And of course Mikie wouldn't try it at first, but we managed to get Zachary to put his hands briefly. In the video you can see how Mikie has a great influence over his little brother:

He responded the same way Mikie did: "YUCK!"

So we gave them spoons.

Our tradition is to read The Pumpkin Patch Parable while carving our jack-o-lanterns.

This video shows what Mikie enjoyed more than the pumpkins:

Zachary likes his!
My mom (aka Super Boagie) came to the rescue again when Mikie said he wanted to be a Brontosaurus for Halloween and Zachary wanted to be Monster Mutt Dalmatian. She did an amazing job creating their costumes without having a pattern or the boys close by to try anything on.

Dinosaur Marching Video:

Instead of trick or treating, we went to the Family Fall Festival at the mall sponsored by our church. The boys had a blast playing each game and winning candy.

Zach goes fishing and catches a Hershey bar!

Finding the numbered apples in the leaves.

Their favorite booth? You bet!

This one was a very close second!

Look at all that candy!

Too bad all Zachary can have are the smartees and lollipops.

  2. We have that problem w/ food...if Gunner says Yuck then Hudson won't try it!
LOVED the costumes, you Mom should sell them, I know Gunner would want to buy them! Looked like a really fun alternative to trick-or-treating too!
