At the end of summer, BOTH boys started AWANAS on Wednesday nights at our church.
Mikie is in SPARKS and wears his vest proudly! (quite the change from last year) He is soaring through his memorization verses and earned CLUBBER OF THE MONTH in November.
Zachary started his first year of CUBBIES and proudly wears his vest each night. He enjoys the puppet show and is doing a good job memorizing his verses as well. I just have to remind myself that he is 6 months younger than Mikie was when he started cubbies.
For one Sunday a month this summer, Mikie participated in Golf Camp at the Golf Gauntlet. Of course, there were other children much better than he was at chipping and driving, but my son can out putt anyone on the green. (See...all that mini-golf has taught him something)
And finally, when it was too hot to be outside this summer, my kids were inside bowling with 20 mini wooden pins Boagie brought out for them. Of course, 10 pins each just didn't seem like enough to clean up everyday, so when Mikie asked for 100 pins.......Boagie delivered:
